By popular request, this is a live recording of my performance at City of Refuge UCC in Oakland on Saturday. The story behind it is that Gina Pond's new church start-up project, Between The Worlds, was doing an Easter Saturday vigil service. She unwittingly asked me to provide the music. I think what I did was about as far from what people normally ever hear in that church (i.e., Grammy winning professional grade gospel!) that you can probably get. Anyway, this is genuinely a live recording, straight from the mixing desk, just a bit of mastering, so what you're hearing is exactly what I was playing. It's all live, improvised, no backing tracks, no sampled phrases, played real-time on an Eigenharp Tau. Synthesis was via Ableton Live, MAX, Battery and Reaktor running on a Macbook Pro. The bass solos were played live on the Eigenharp, with the sound coming from the Trilium VST plugin. It's long, moderately demanding, and is best listened to by telling your brain to shut up...
