Hi Guys

Hi Guys, Dumb noob problem here. I am struggling unsuccessfully to add an illuminator to the factor Tau setup so I can light up frets on keygroup one. The online tutorial is of course written for a simplified pico setup, but it's easy enough to follow and adapt for a tau. So i get the whole thing set up, including a new kegroup to access a new talker that sends the commands, but here's where I get utterly lost. I go into my new keygroup, select the green color, then what? If I do anything that exits the advanced mode, try to select keygroup one with the mode button, and then try to select any keys, nothing happens at all. As near as I can tell, I have set everything up right, but something about the setup on the tau means that the physical choose operation goes out of scope when trying to select keygroup 1. Pulling my hair out here trying to figure out what I've done wrong, and for the life of me, can't find anything. I need a more experienced user to maybe expla...

Scroll / EigenBrowser problem with Tau

Scroll / EigenBrowser problem with Tau Wondering if anyone knows what the issue might be. When using the tau, and trying to browse sound fonts or AU/VSTs I can get the browser to display on the monitor by clicking the browse button for that particular setup, but.... Scrolling does not work. Key X/Y does not appear to be bound to any scrolling or selecting behavior. Using windows btw. Tried on two diff machines, and nada. Using factory setups. Any ideas?

Are there any Python programmers in this group going to US Pycon 2016 in Portland at the end of May?  I'd love to get together to talk about the Eigenharp & its software. At the conference, I am giving the closing keynote address.  My Eigenharp Tau, while not specifically featured, will be in a supporting roll in this off-the-wall musical presentation.

Live coding recommendations...

Live coding recommendations... I was looking at some live coding vids the other days, and its sparked my interest. can anyone recommend a platform? sonicPi/ Chuck/ SuperCollider, a.n.other? Obviously I'm an experienced programmer, so that might play a part. my main requirements, is not too convoluted...as I want it to be quick and fun! I also want to be able to interact with midi and osc inputs... I guess midi out/vst integration might be useful too, but not essential. seems like theres a lot of choice, so hard to know where to invest my time... id like something that is not going to be potentially obsolete in 12 months ;) Dragica Kahlina , I think you have a lot of experience in this... any thoughts, suggestions? Thanks for any pointers Mark
