I'm unfamiliar with T3D/OSC and haven't been able to figure out how to set it up. I have Mark Harris' T3D agent in my setup and Kaivo hosted in MainStage. But how do I make them communicate?

I have another question.

I have another question.. is it possible to change setups in the" MIDI only mode"  (the midi only is found in the experimental pico section)

I know a lot of you have several different MPE controllers.

I know a lot of you have several different MPE controllers.. Which one is your most used ?? ( Eigenharp, linnstrument , roli, continuum, sound plane) I'm not asking which is the "best" ... (That's a different convo). Which do you play/use the most?? )

Does anyone know how to change the scales in the "Midi Only" Experimental Pico Setup?

Looking for some assistance with "MIDI Monitor" with a Tau.  I've been quite successful with other Workbench projects, but anything with MID Monitor has proven unsuccessful.  I'm using the release 2.1.2-community and followed the Mark Harris video https://youtu.be/ojt_Ot9soz8 .  In the video of the Workbench, I can see there is a connection from MidiMonitor -> output -> Light Output   cabled to  "Keygroup 1".   Since "Keygroup 1" is never expanded in the video, I cannot see where it connects.  When just wiring it up, from collapsed agents, that "light output" connection is not automatically made.  Any attempt to manually connect it renders the "no matching inputs and outputs" message. Any got any advice?

Mac OSX 10.11 (El Capitan) performance

Mac OSX 10.11 (El Capitan) performance anyone got any tips/ideas on how to improve 10.11 performance in a music making context? Ive had to upgrade (arghh!) and I'm getting audio drop outs in EigenD (headphones on alpha) , but its fine in Live. I was on 10.11.3, then tried the beta (10.11.4) but no improvement. Im running everything in Live, just a audio link back to EigenD (using focusrite loopback) to get audio into my headphones via the alpha. only an issue this way, if i plug my headphones directly into mixer - the audio is fine. so seems like EigenD is not getting enough CPU time, or there is something else causing issues on fast thread? hows audio from eigenD under 10.11 for everyone else?

Word to the wise.

Word to the wise. The documentation on building under windows is erroneous and incomplete, and does not reflect current status of the asio sdk, and Visual Studio deps. I just got it to build under VS2015 successfully and it works great. I would if it were possible like to amend the build instructions for those that ran into the same pitfalls as I and whom may not have the experience to sort it out. The bld.cmd needs to be augmented to set proper environment variables in later versions of Visual Studio, and the instructions for including the steinberg libraries is incomplete as a number of headers in base need to be included also. Who do I bug about adding some documentation to make this easier for the next fella? http://bld.cm

Need some advice with ableton.

Need some advice with ableton. In short, the midi rigs do not show up in the ableton preferences under Windows. All other midi controllers show. So I can't use my tau as a controller in ableton. Is this a known issue and are there work arounds? Same behavior on 2.1.0 and 2.0.74. Have confirmed that I have midi out 1 selected as my instrument mode (tried with midi out 2 as well), and have confirmed that in my midi rig windows that there are reasonable settings in the matrix. It is honestly like the midi device is not available to applications other than EigenD. Is there a way to connect the Tau midi output to ableton, or something that I am missing?

I'm the proud owner of a new Tau and am completely in love.

I'm the proud owner of a new Tau and am completely in love. Still learning things. Worked through the tutorial videos, and the somewhat... um... sparse documentation on getting started, but I am up and running, and discovering new possibilities daily. I just wanted to say hi, and thanks for all the information I found via this community. Still struggling with how to do a few things, so I may ask you all a few very dumb questions from time to time, but everyone seems super open, so hopeully you won't laugh too hard if I ask something ridiculous. Great to see such a vibrant community!

There are all sorts of interesting things in this set of articles.

There are all sorts of interesting things in this set of articles. The article entitled "Plays Well With Others" I think has relevance to the wider electronic music scene and not just modular. http://econtact.ca/17_4/

Hmm, I need some Mac advice.

Hmm, I need some Mac advice. I've been meaning to get one for running EigenD and suitable soft synths, but keep postponing buying it because of limited funds and, well, eurorack. ;)  Do anyone know if a 4GB i5 1.66GHz MacBook Air will be sufficient for EigenD, Aalto and Kaivo? I have no other plans for this machine than the Eigenharp, so I'm looking for something that will work reliably and hassle-free for this specific purpose only.

Interesting interview with Jordan Rudess about MPE instruments in general (and of course Seaboard and Rudess playing and thinking about Seaboards and Rudess iPad apps in particular). Just click on the video. Only the first few sentences are in German, the entire rest of the interview is in English. One thing I wholeheartly agree with - a new instrument does not only require a signature way to play but a signature sound to become "a recognizable thing". That said of course different people can play the same device with completely different sounds. But then they probably kind of play different instruments really that require their own way of playing, thinking, literature etc., making it hard to establish something desirable and possible to learn from/teach as a teacher. http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Interview-Jordan-Rudess-ueber-Knautsch-Keyboards-MPE-und-Musik-Apps-3129553.html http://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Interview-Jordan-Rudess-ueber-Knautsch-Keyboards-MPE...
