Hy All! I have been practicing with my pico trying to get it ready for live performance but I am having a problem with the recorder that I can't solve? And it is driving me nuts! Every time I select and  start the recorder I can't get the recording to start from the beginning of the tempo(loop). Do I have to make any adjustments to the recorder? Sorry for the question, maybe an easy issue but as I don't get network most of the time I'm a little bit lost here. Thanks HNY to all

Hi All. Adam here. Just relocated to Berlin. Now picking up my Pico once more. I am running Windows 7 64, EigenD 2.0.74 & 2.1.0, LoopBe 1.6 Am trying desperately to interface to Ableton 8, but have had absolutely no luck. I do not see any MIDI events from Ableton no matter what I try. Unfortunately most forum posts are Mac centric, or if they are Windows they don't go into detail. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Also looking for other Berliners with Eigenharps or details of local meetups. Thanks.

EigenD : Modular Synth part 3 ======================== ok, this rounds off this 'section', covering sub oscillator, LFO for PWM, and envelopes.. and a bit of FM. From here, it will be less regular, and will concentrate on more complex patches and techniques, and integrating things in perhaps unexpected ways. Does anyone know if there's a way to program a key for momentary action (only active while pressed)?  In particular I'm interested in setting one or more up to set the octave realtime (and retrigger or adjust any active notes) when pressed, then revert when released. Thanks, sb

U-HE Hive preview =============== Early days for this one,  but again, full voice per channel support. Less complex than other u-he synths and low cpu (!) but with ability to have lots of voices/unison. tis a preview, to play with, so u-he can get feedback... and so far I'm enjoying it. EigenD not just for Eigenharps... a demo of my latest agent 't3d device', which allows control of eigenD from a madrona labs soundplane. here it is controlling the Alpha 2 Factory setup, all that was required was adding 2 agents: - t3d device agent - an additional keygroup (to perform mapping)  in 'reality' Ive my own custom setup which exploits the soundplane more (examples in next video), but this is to show just how compatible you can make other devices :o)  #eigenD   #Soundplane   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T6kr-Gf-mQ

Wondering if anyone has run into this issue - I've been using Jack with OS X to route audio from EigenD to Ableton Live and today it stopped working.  I can still see JackRouter in the EigenD audio settings, but when I select it the buffer and sampling rate fields are blank, and it doesn't work.  Jack is still working normally for Live.  So far I've tried reinstalling Jack and EigenD to no avail.

Question:  All my previous setups have been loosely based on one of the factory alpha/tau setups.   One thing I've noticed with them is that they prevent OSX's screensaver from kicking in.   I kinda thought this was something in EigenD that was causing it, but now that i've been creating my own little setups, i notice that the screensaver is no longer suppressed.    Does anyone (Geert Bevin Mark Harris maybe?) know offhand where this setting exists in the setup?

Soundplane agent updated (0.0.5) ============================ this release is a result of a few things Ive learnt over recent days about the soundplane/aalto etc, making (kaivo/aalto) patches built for the soundplane more useable on the eigenharp (and vice versa) changes: - X/Y are now unipolar, and reversed - Pitchbend on agent is removed, it can be specified on the scaler agent. note: this will probably be replaced by a new (but compatible) agent, called T3D (name of the osc protocol used), features to be finalised but a few original features and improved throughput, are on my current wish list :) http://myeigenharp.wordpress.com/technobear-eigend-agents/

Reaktor - voice per channel. http://www.marksmart.net/instruments/continuum/reaktor/reaktor.html Someone pointed this out on the madronalabs forum, and its excellent. Its a set of ensembles for the continuum, but will work equally well for the Eigenharp (or Soundplane). For the 'adventurous' it also provides some good examples of how to do  voice per channel in your own reaktor synths (or adapting others).

So my alpha finally arrived yesterday (hooray!) and it quickly became apparent that the first order of business is to settle on a key layout (or two) for practicing.  Is there a standard one that folks here are using?  Any good references along those lines?

Kaivo and Aalto 50% off  - too bad I already own both :) The synths I use most with the eigenharp, when I just want to have fun with sound and expression. I find them very different/unique. remember: to try my soundplane agent with them to use them with osc.  (an update is coming, that will enable VpC midi too) not on commission :) I just really appreciate the work Randy does over at ML, and love these synths.
