I've been a member here for a while, but I don't think I've introduced myself yet! I'm a Literature student, artist, and instrument collector. Music has always been a big part of my life, since it's kind of tradition in my family for every kid to learn to play an instrument. I'm just one of said kids that decided to keep with it. I have a passion for the arts, particularly in how art styles vary between cultures and how they allow people to communicate with and learn about each other. In my case, I enjoy writing, music, and wire sculpting, and I like to experiment with other art forms as well given the opportunity! My grandfather collected instruments, and since my family and I moved in with him while I was young, I had seen and handled (with his permission) a number of instruments in his collection. I was amazed at all the different types of instruments, but a majority of them have been neglected, gathering dust and falling into disrepair. I decided to start my...

Hello!

Hello! Still rather new to the Eigenharp, but having a blast learning what I can put into it! Got a Tau some time ago. I've been experimenting with VST's and saw mention of Native Instruments' Kontakt and Reaktor 6 players. When I have Eigend search them out, though, they come back as failed plugins. I've seen this happen with a couple other VST's I tried out as well. I saw something on the other forums mentioning that Eigend maybe doesn't support 64-bit plugins, so that's my best guess on why it doesn't work. Anybody have advice on how to troubleshoot failed plugins or get them working?

Have a strange tech issue, and looking for some insight.

Have a strange tech issue, and looking for some insight. My main rig is a Win10 64 rig. Well, the other day, inexplicably my Tau stopped working. The PSU shows up in device manager, but it can't connect to EigenD. I have tried reinstalling the drivers, EigenD, tried different USB ports, Different versions of the driver, tried the "with audio capable firmware" driver, and the with "extension mode firmware" driver, versions 1, 1.0.1, completely uninstalling and scrubbing drivers and files, and reinstalling, 8 different USB ports and cable combos... Nothing. Move it over to a laptop, running same versions, and everything works. It just simply will not work whatsoever on my main rig, and WAS working fine up until Thursday. No, no windows update in that time, and no other USB device is having trouble. So, before I have to throw a "hail mary" and completely reinstall my OS hoping that the problem goes away, can anyone think of ANYTHI...

Good news!

Good news! Next week Voltage Modular 1.1 is going to be released - with support for "poly cables" that essentially combine several mono CV cables in one. So when using compatible poly modules it isn't necessary anymore to model each and every voice individually (with all the sync-fun if something is supposed to be changed later on). The base program is free, modules cost $$$ though... They also plan to provide a free "personal" license for their Designer which allows to write new modules per drag+drop+Java code. Looks promising! Second good news: It looks as if VCV will also get poly-cable support. Yay, good times for "polyphonic virtual modular" ahead! Am particularly looking forward to this because both VM and VCV support audio rate modulation - which should be fast enough to cope with the audio-rate-realm modulation rates of Eigenharps&Co. Some very interesting possibilities ahead... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hcX8cEr8zI
