Axoloti - shipping now

Axoloti - shipping now Im thrilled to let you know Axoloti is now shipping, and the forum is up and running... can't wait to see what others can create with it. and i think its the first hardware synth shipping with MPE support, so its lots of fun with the Eigenharp! more info :  https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/axoloti-a-digital-audio-platform-for-makers#/updates https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/axoloti-a-digital-audio-platform-for-makers#/updates

Aalto 1.7 - MPE support ( first soft synth to support)

Aalto 1.7 - MPE support ( first soft synth to support) you can use with the community release 2.1.1 which supports MPE. (or of course continue to use T3D support which is also in the release)  fyi: Soundplane 1.3 software was also released, which also include MPE support, joining the Linnstrument with its support since 1.2. (Kaivo will support in 1.2) http://www.kvraudio.com/news/madrona-labs-updates-aalto-to-v1-7---adds-mpe-support-30586

I've just looked at the midi output in poly mode and noticed channels didn't get selected the way I was expecting.

I've just looked at the midi output in poly mode and noticed channels didn't get selected the way I was expecting. Example: Channel range 1-3 and a note sustained on channel 1. I then play some staccato notes. The first gets channel 2, the next 3. So far so good. But then I'd expect channel 2 to be selected next as this is now the oldest, unused channel. Instead I get channel 1, which is already in use. Is this behaviour intended? I'm on the community release, btw.

EigenPI - update

EigenPI - update Not much of an update, as not much is happening, but thought id pass one some thoughts. Progress: well its released in the community build, but Im not doing much as I'm too busy with Axoloti.. there are a couple of other reasons,  Ive stalled a bit, and thats as Im 're-imagining things' a bit, considering options... 1) finishing EigenPI - pico doesnt work due to PI firmware issue (arghh!) - theres a bit of effort to get an easy to use distro together - I don't want to have to run XWindows to run EigenD (it currently does) as its takes memory etc. Ive some early attempts at the later, but EigenD is being stubborn to play ball! If someone wants to help on these, then I will assist.  2) Im seriously considering other options : a) use my EigenFreeD lib, and create a very lightweight midi router.... avoid the heavy infra EigenD requires. Mainly I see EigenPI on the PI as being a midi router, so why not just have keyboard layouts + midi, all in C++, without a...

I received the Tau a couple of days ago.

I received the Tau a couple of days ago. To my disappointment I'm not the natural born Eigenharp virtuoso I suspected I was. :( Anyways, so far I've been mostly busy integrating the Tau with my hardware based setup. Not sure if the following is of interest to anyone, but since I'm in the honeymoon stage with my new instrument and dying to talk about it you guys have just ended up at the receiving end of it: My impression so far is that the Elektron Analog Four appears to be a pretty good partner for the Eigenharp. For those that aren't familiar with it, it is a small, 4 voice analog desktop synth tightly integrated with a powerful step sequencer. The synth engine itself is decent, but in itself not all that exciting. It is in combination with the sequencer that it really shines. But it has a couple of unusual features that might be of interest to Eigenharpists. One of them is that it has four configurable CV outputs. I set them up to respond to pitch, modwheel, aftertou...

I'm no Linux person, but I've been messing with a Raspberry Pi 2 for a couple of days now.

I'm no Linux person, but I've been messing with a Raspberry Pi 2 for a couple of days now. Lots of fun! Naturally I tried to get EigenPi running on it (I have yet to receive my Tau, but still, no harm in being prepared). My SD Card is being picky with OSes, Raspbian being one of few that works. But I'm guessing that isn't what I should use for EigenPi as it is telling me I have the wrong version of libstdc++6. So before I go buy a new card, which OS should I use for it?

Hey all

Hey all, I'm desperately trying to get rid of a black Tau - sale or trade. Anyone know someone looking? Thanks!

What to say.... Umm first thing to click when get back in the studio ;-)
